Is it Time to Get Your Brakes Inspected?

With all of life's starts and stops, you eventually need a rest. For your Subaru to come to a rest, it needs well-maintained brakes. Our factory trained technicians are experienced in brake inspections and replacement, and they know the right parts that are specifically engineered for your vehicle.
The four types of brake pads commonly used today are semi-metallic, non-asbestos organic (NAO), low metallic NAO, and ceramic.  Ceramic brake pads are considered the highest quality because they are quieter, longer lasting, and cleaner, producing less brake dust than non-asbestos or low metallic NAO brake pads.  Ceramic pads are generally more expensive than other options but might be worth the investment for longevity and a quieter ride.

brake calipers
The brake caliper is essential in slowing your vehicle.  When pressure is applied to the brake pedal, brake fluid pressure is pushed through the master cylinder to the calipers.  The caliper extends the piston which forces the brake pads against the rotors to slow the vehicle.  Key indicators that calipers need repairs are; leaking brake fluid, diminished brake power, brakes always feel engaged when driving, caliper piston seizing causing the vehicle to pull left or right when braking.
