Powertrain
The big outlier in the group is the Subaru WRX. This powerful rally car delivers a thrilling driving experience with sport tuned suspension that grips every turn. The WRX offers two turbocharge Subaru BOXER engines, a 2.0-liter four cylinder and a 2.5-liter four cylinder, with a maximum of 305 horsepower. But if you don't need maximum horsepower and race car performance the Subaru Impreza and Legacy deliver a spirited and enjoyable ride every time. The Subaru Legacy has two powertrain options available. First is the standard 2.5-liter Subaru BOXER engine with 175 horsepower. Or for a little more pep in your engine, the 3.6-liter six cylinder engine delivers 256 horsepower. The Subaru Impreza only has one powertrain option, a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine with 152 horsepower.
Features
Every Subaru Impreza, WRX, and Legacy comes standard with Rear Vision Camera and is available with the latest versions of Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, Subaru Starlink Multimedia system, and numerous convenience features varying between the trim levels. The Subaru WRX is the only model out of the three that offers available Brembo brakes as well as enhanced stability and control features to handle the engine power and torque.
Price
When it really comes down to it money is usually the deciding factor for what car you end up driving home. You will also want to make sure that you get the most for you money. The Subaru Impreza has the lowest MSRP out of the three Subaru vehicles starting at $18,495. The Legacy starts at $22,195 and the WRX starts at $26,995. But no matter what Subaru you end up choosing you are still getting one of the most reliable, long lasting, safest vehicles on the road that can also take on any snow storm with ease.
Interior Space
When it comes to interior space the Subaru WRX offers the least amount of space and the Impreza is available in a 5-door hatchback which offers more versatile cargo space.
