Cabin and Interior Space
The Outlook's cabin impresses in both quality of materials used, and a wide array of technology features. The cabin is surprisingly quiet due to sound-insulated glass used in the windshield and front door windows, and helped by special interior materials. The reconfigured interior allows more comfort in both the front and back seat passengers, while the 78-inch long cargo floor now allows for more storage than ever before. Hands-free, powered rear-gate opening and an all-new, single-touch cargo cover add to the experience.
All 2020 Subaru Outback models are fitted with a state-of-the-art Starlink multimedia system. Exterior and Construction
The 2020 Outback comes in six trim packages: the base, Premium, Limited, Touring, Limited XT, Touring XT and the feature-rich newcomer, the Onyx Edition XT, all of them built on the Subaru Global Platform that has been much valued for its stability, quietness, dynamics, rigidity and safety ever since it was introduced.
The line-up offers two engine variations: the standard XT models haves a superb, new, 2.4-liter turbocharged BOXER engine that delivers 260 HP at 5,600 rpm and 277 lb-ft torque, while the standard versions of other trims use a naturally aspirated, 182 HP BOXER. All trims are fitted with a Lineartronic transmission with 8-speed manual function and they all use a brand-new suspension system with McPherson struts with solutions that serve stability and comfort with a redesigned internal rebound spring, a new stabilizer bar and other components made from stronger, but lighter materials.
